Staff Research Scientist Environmental Science

Shawna Witt is a STEM Education Coordinator with DRI’s Science Alive K-12 program. She helps create, manage, and coordinate various K-12 STEM-based programs, as well as community outreach events. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Resource Science from Nevada State College and has 10 years of prior experience working as a preschool teacher.

She currently manages EnergySmart Education, a K-12 outreach program sponsored by NV Energy and Southwest Gas that is designed to teach the public about energy consumption and conservation.
