Professional Interests

Ms. Dana L. Trimble is a Human Resources Generalist and DRI’s Diversity Officer. She provides employment and administrative services with our faculty and postdoc recruitment process, candidate sourcing, position advertisements, applicant tracking, relocation, and other NNSC customer service regarding employment and recruitment. AsDRI’s Diversity Officer, she works closely with the Human Resources Office to enhance recruitment and retention efforts in order to reach a wider audience and expand the talent pool. Dana also serves as a standing member of DRI’s Inclusion Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility(IDEA) Committee andas DRIs representative for the Nevada System of Higher Education’s (NSHE) IDEA Council, which works to support diversity throughout the NSHE system. Ms. Trimble also serves as DRI’s Affirmative Action Officer.

Dana was previously an Associate Research Scientist for the Division of Hydrological and Atmospheric Sciences (DAS) at DRI. She served as project manager and lab manager for multiple large projects. She has experience with database management, data validation and reporting, proposal development and submittals, and standard operating procedure development. She has over 28 years of experience in managing project and laboratory operations, as well as database administration.

Additionally, she has served as DRI Faculty Senate Chair and Chair of theNSHE’s Council of Chairs. She is a certified Emergenetics trainer and received a Women of Achievement award from the Nevada Women’s Fund in 2016.
