Come and explore connections between transpiration, weather systems, climate, and drought at DRI’s STEM Education Program’s FREE educator professional development training on our new middle school Green Box, Southwest Sustainable Innovation: Transpiration and Drought. Green Boxes are self-contained, NGSS-aligned, curriculum kits that provide educators with three weeks’ worth of curriculum and all supplies necessary for your classroom to conduct each activity. The training will provide hands-on activities to allow students to compare plant structures, explore weather systems, investigate real time weather data, and consider how to predict, monitor, and mitigate drought.

Although this training will cover middle school standards, all interested educators are welcome to attend! Educators who attend the session will be eligible for up to 5 Continuing Education hours.
