Community Outreach

Community Outreach brings STEM to life through in-person, interactive experiences for learners of all ages in Nevada. These hands-on activities, demonstrations, and conversations are designed to bring the community together to explore real-world STEM, inspire curiosity, and foster lifelong learning. By emphasizing experiential learning and inclusive engagement, participants are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and see themselves as part of Nevada’s STEM future.

Our team is constantly creating new programs with themes such as energy conservation, the intersection of science and art, microplastics, technology, and more! Events are held at DRI’s Reno and Las Vegas campuses. Additionally, the STEM Education Program partners with schools, educational organizations, and industry partners to host activities at their events. Some of our past partner events include: After-School All Stars, City of Henderson Summer Camps, Family STEM Nights, Science and Technology Festival, Summer Exploration Camp, Carson City STEM Night, and Farm and Ranch Day.
