Great Basin Climate Forum Scenario Planning for the Northeastern Great Basin: Planning for Alternative Futures

March 8th  9:30am - 1pm . Western Folklife Center - 501 Railroad Street, Elko, NV .

This is the followup meeting to the afternoon of scenario planning work we did at the Great Basin Climate Forum last December. The goal for this meeting will be to decide what are the important features for the northeastern Great Basin—for example, grazing, climate change, population growth, water availability—and what alternative futures are the most compelling and interesting to look in terms of planning for this region. Similar to the meeting in December, we will be using maps and working in small groups, to identify and rank the features most important to look at to develop the scenarios.
