
I oversee DRI’s comprehensive communications and marketing program, managing the Institutes internal and external communications, ensuring that all messaging is engaging, informative and consistent in both content and branding.
In collaboration with members of DRIs Senior Leadership Team, Iwork to foster meaningful and lasting connections with a broad range of stakeholders and constituencies through strategic and thoughtful storytelling and visual design. In my role, I work to maintain a detailed awareness of research activities across the Institute, regularly connecting with faculty and division and program directors, advocating early and often for the communication of key information through the Institutes traditional and digital media channels.
I oversee the day-to-day operations of the Communications Office, serving as the primary liaison for media relations and manager of DRIs creative and digital marketing services, traditional and multimedia content development, as well as ongoing updates and maintenance of the Institutes public websites, social media, and Intranet platform.
I serve as the lead for DRIs Crisis Communication planning, overseeing DRIs emergency messaging system and acting as the Institutes chief spokesperson with community partners and media during crisis situations.
I also serve as DRIs Accessibility Officer, working to maintain compliance and educate faculty and staff on WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards for website and digital media accessibility.
