Dr. Jackson Crews
Assistant Research Professor, Hydrology

Since joining DRI in 2010 I’ve had the opportunity to investigate remote seismic triggering, vortex formation, suspended dust, soil, thermal convection, the rain-snow transition, near-surface geophysical techniques, and the formation and growth of champagne bubbles. Right now I am especially excited about a suite of custom built radio-frequency and acoustic devices, techniques and measurements that my colleagues and I are developing to support our clients’ needs. My background is in high energy particle physics and field theory. I taught college and high school math, physics, and chemistry courses for four years and I now teach GEOL 783 (Groundwater Hydraulics) at the University of Nevada Reno as a member of the Graduate Program of Hydrologic Sciences faculty.
