Christine AlbanoUnderstanding Scenarios for Emergency Response
Ph.D student Christine Albano is developing climate extreme scenarios to be used in hydrologic models for emergency response planning. The research focus associated with this work involves developing an understanding of the spatial and temporal synchronies of climate extremes across this region historically and in the future, and the extent of their impacts on southwestern ecosystems. Science AliveSTEM Advancement through UAS Curriculum & Discovery
Thanks to funds from the Nevada NASA Space Grant, group of secondary STEM teachers took part in a multi-faceted program to incorporate drones in the classroom. Developed and led by aviation instructors and other educators from Clark County School District (CCSD), Nevada State College (NSC), and the Desert Research Institute (DRI), the combined effort will impact over 2000 students in Nevada.
