Conversation with Reno Mayor Bob Cashell | Print |  E-mail

Greetings!

I want to invite you to a open dialogue that we are having with Reno's Mayor Bob Cashell on Tuesday, September 1 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Mayor Cashell is visiting DRI to learn more about our research mission. The question and answer session will be held in the NNSC Stout A and B Conference Rooms with a video feed to SNSC Rogers 352.

Elected Mayor of the City of Reno in 2002 Bob Cashell is one of Nevada's best known business and public figures. In his business career, Cashell serves as Chairman of the Board of Cashell Enterprises a hotel casino management company. Bob and his son Rob, own and operate the Alamo Travel Plaza and the Topaz Lodge.

Cashell began his public life in 1979 when he was elected to the University of Nevada System Board of Regents and was immediately elected Chairman by his peers. Following his term as University Regent, he was elected Lieutenant Governor for the State of Nevada in 1982. Working together with then Governor Richard Bryan, they created both the Nevada Commission on Economic Development and the Nevada Commission on Tourism.

I hope that you the faculty, staff and students will consider joining us.

Sincerely,

Dr. Stephen Wells
