WHO: DRI, the DRI Research Foundation, Sierra Pacific Power Company and its customers, Washoe County School District, the students, faculty and administration at Traner Middle School, [contractors]

WHERE: Traner Middle School, 1700 Carville Drive, Reno

WHY: GreenPower is an educational program designed to familiarize Nevada school children with the advantages of using alternative energy resources to offset the use of fossil fuel sources for electrical generation. Funded by SPPC customers' tax-deductible contributions and grants, the program is administered by the DRI Research Foundation. Three GreenPower sites have been established at schools in southern Nevada with the support of Nevada Power Company and its customers.
