| DRI Foundation adds seven distinguished trustees |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Dec. 3, 2010 The Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents approved the following additions to the DRI Foundation Board of Trustees:
“These highly accomplished individuals each bring wonderful skill, talent and connections that will be invaluable as DRI continues to grow,” said President Stephen Wells, Ph.D. “We are grateful for their willingness to help DRI continue to provide science-based answers to environmental challenges around the world.” As CEO of Taylor Winfield, Adair has had a long and distinguished career in executive level management, operational excellence, and executive recruiting. She has served as either Founder or CEO of two enterprises and General Manager of a $500 million business unit within a Fortune 100 company. Recognized as a leading executive recruiter, Adair has advised Boards of Directors, Investors, and Senior Management teams of hundreds of technology companies in the development and recruitment of top executives. Kathleen M. Shanahan has served as the CEO of WRScompass since 2005. WRScompass is a 25 year-old environmental construction and remediation firm based in Tampa, Florida. Shanahan currently serves as a member of Florida's State Board of Education, Florida Council of 100, pro bono advisor to the Florida Coalition for Domestic Violence, the Eckerd Youth Alternatives Board, the Lincoln Center Institute Board, a Judicial member of the Supreme Court Nominating Committee for the State of Florida, the American Petroleum Institute Board and previously served as a member for the National Parks Board, a Presidential appointment. Clark J Guild III (Joe) is a fourth generation Nevadan. He and a partner own a ranch management consulting business. Guild earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Nevada, Reno and juris doctorate from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Nevada and California. Guild is also a veteran of the Vietnam War, a first lieutenant, a past President of the Nevada Cattlemen's Association and currently holds a leadership position in The National Cattlemen's Beef Association. He was a founding member of the Nevada Rangeland Resources Commission and is a member of UNR's College of Agriculture Biotechnology and Natural Resources Advisory Board. John Worthington served as Vice President and then a Senior Vice President of MCI Communications Corporation until its merger into WorldCom. He also previously served as the company’s general counsel. After law school and the U.S. Army, Worthington worked for the Chicago based law firm of Jenner & Block eventually earning his way to partner. While in Washington, he served on the board of directors of the American Corporate Counsel Association and the National Symphony Orchestra Association. Worthington is also on the boards of trustees of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra Association, the Nevada Museum of Art and St. Mary’s Foundation. Worthington holds a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree in business administration and juris doctorate from the University of Michigan. Stephanie Tyler-Jackson, appointed President of AT&T Nevada in May 2010, is a highly accomplished external affairs executive and former Nevada State Senator with more than 20 years of multi-state experience in administering government relations programs, corporate communications, campaign management and public service. As a native Nevadan, Tyler-Jackson spent the early years of her career in a variety of political jobs including serving as staff to U.S. Senator Paul Laxalt. She also served as caucus director for the joint Republican Caucus in the Nevada State Legislature and has worked with the now Glenn Group and EDAWN. Her career also includes two years of service at Harrah’s corporate office, directing several state and local campaigns, and the creation of her own government affairs and public relations firm. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Nevada, Reno. Albert D. Massi has a flourishing law practice in Las Vegas. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and his juris doctorate from The Pennsylvania State University Dickerson School of Law. Dr. John J. Wojcik, M.D. is a partner in one of the oldest pulmonary practice in the state of Nevada, The Lung Center of Nevada. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Fordham University and a doctorate of medicine from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in the Bronx. Dr. Wojcik also served as the Chief Resident and Firm Chief (management and teaching position) at St. Luke's Hospital Center in New York City. He currently serves or has served on several hospital committees in Southern Nevada. |
