Title: Postdoctoral Fellow Professional InterestsDr. Robles has experience in the quantification and identification of aliphatic, aromatic, and oxygen-containing species during biomass conversion. He is an expert in the analysis of water-soluble organic compounds, and in the techniques of liquid and gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Dr. Robles is involved with maintaining, improving and enhancing the efficiency of the Environmental Analytical Facility’s carbon analyzers, and is responsible for the calibration and maintenance of 12 DRI Model 2001 carbon analyzers. He continuously upgrades software and installs carbon analyzer parts, enhancing the efficiency of the EAF carbon analyzers. He also performs various research studies such as exploring multiple detectors for particulate matter analysis, developing methods to analyze water-soluble fractions, and investigating different thermal desorption techniques.
