The long-term objective of this study is to produce a system-dynamics based model of a coupled climate-biophysical-social system for enhancing effective communication among stakeholders towards achieving collaborative adaptive water management in the Truckee river basin at the face of climate change. For the achievement of overall goal, stakeholder driven collaborative model development, application and validation are needed. In this study we propose a number of fundamental tasks for a comprehensive future study.
