Professional Interests

Mr. Drollinger is an archaeologist with over nineteen years experience in archaeological research and cultural resource management. He has worked on and supervised various archaeological projects in the Midwest, Southeast, Southwest, and southern Great Basin regions of the United States and in Belize, Central America. Projects include the excavations of a mammoth, prehistoric hunter-gatherer campsites, prehistoric and historic pueblos, a Maya lithic workshop, historic Indian sites, early historic farmsteads and towns, and Cold War sites and events associated with nuclear weapons testing and nuclear rocket development. Areas of interest are lithic technology, craft specialization, rock art, spatial analysis, site structure, and archaeological field methodologies.
