We are seeking a dependable, highly organized, part-time administrative program assistant to work with the Director of the Environmental Analysis Facility in Reno, NV. While performing the duties of this job, the ideal candidate will be regularly required to use professional written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve non-routine and complex office administrative problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; perform highly detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks; work under deadlines with frequent interruptions; and interact with Program Coordinator, Director, staff, students, scientists, the public and others encountered in the course of work using tact and discretion. Intermediate to advanced use of word processing, spreadsheet, database and other standard software to create complex documents and materials requiring the interpretation and manipulation of data. Salary This is an hourly Program Assistant position with a starting rate of $15 per hour with no benefits. Hours This is a part-time hourly position, is limited to a maximum of 1000 hours in a calendar year, and does not include benefits. Hours worked will generally be 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Specific times and number of hours per week will be determined with finalist. Additional hours per week may be expected, based on project deadlines and special events.
