Task 4

This Integrated Science Project (ISP) is examining the amount and timing of precipitation using NevCAN instrumentation. The effect of precipitation on the environment is being examined by correlating precipitation to maps of vegetation indices derived from Landsat Thematic Mapper scenes.  This effort will not only examine data acquired by NevCAN but will also go back in time two to three decades using historical data and Artemisia tridentata growth rings that are being measured and analyzed by UNLV graduate student Lorenzo Apodaca.
