Project Description

Dr. Lynn Fenstermaker proposes to expand upon the scope of previous remote sensing data analyses that were performed as a component of two basin-wide ET projects completed by herself and other Principle Investigators at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and the Desert Research Institute (DRI). The additional remote sensing tasks will examine and quantify the accuracy of the empirical relationships previously reported as well as a more in-depth examination of specific data parameters and analytical approaches. These efforts will be carried out by working in collaboration with the Southern Nevada Water Authority's (SNWA) remote sensing scientist. The specific tasks are listed below. Unless otherwise noted, all data processing will follow the same procedures documented in the UNLV and DRI reports to allow comparison between new and previous results. [Note: the list of tasks may be modified or augmented at any time by mutual agreement between DRI and SNWA.]
