Project Description

"The research investigation presented in this project is designed to develop an array of likely or plausible alternative future patterns of land uses and the resultant impacts which these ""scenarios"" might have on patterns of biodiversity and related environmental issues (e.g., hydrology and fire) in the context region of the Marine Corps Base and Marine Corps Air Station, Camp Pendleton, and the Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar, Southern California. A basic premise of the proposed research is that issues related to ecosystem management from the viewpoint of a military installation can best be undertaken in the context region of that installation."
