Professional Interests and Expertise

With a B.S. in geology, an M.A. in anthropology, and more than 15 years of diverse professional experience at DRI, Mr. Page has acquired a varied skillset and an interdisciplinary focus in anthropology and geology. He has interests in prehistoric archaeology, hunter-gatherer mobility, toolstone geochemistry, and geoarchaeological studies. His specialties include cultural resources project management, geologic applications in archaeology, GIS project management, logistical planning, quality control, technical writing, and research publication support and production.

Research Areas

-archaeological research, fieldwork, cultural resources management (CRM) project management, detailed analysis of lithic tools and ceramic artifacts

-geologic/geomorphic mapping, predictive modelling, geoarchaeological investigations, soils analysis, ground penetrating radar (GPR), trace and whole rock geochemical studies using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and handhled pXRF analyzers

-detailed in-field GPS survey and mapping using Trimble products

-GIS project management using ESRI products
