Professional Interests

Ms. Dana L. Trimble is an Associate Research Scientist for the DAS at DRI, and thelaboratory manager of the Environmental Analysis Facilitys (EAF) Carbon Analysis Laboratory.She has over 19 years of experience in managing laboratory operations and database administration.Ms. Trimble is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the EAF lab and supervises the carbon analysts. She also performs Level I and Level II data validation and is responsible for compiling and reporting IMPROVE carbon analysis data for EPAs Chemical Speciation Network (CSN), the NPS IMPROVE program, TCEQ's PM2.5 Chemical Speciation program, and all other sponsors requiring carbon analysis. She serves as a lead contact person for multiple sponsors to discuss contract matters and analysis status and assists with proposal development. Additionally, Ms. Trimble serves as EAFs database manager.She has been involved in compiling and reporting continuous data from the Fresno and St. Louis Supersites to various sponsors including the California Air Resources Board and the EPA. She is responsible for data requests (internal and external) and assists with database development and programming. In addition, Ms. Trimble supervises multiple technical staff and works closely with the financial administrator to monitor contracts, manage budgets, and ensure accurate and timely invoices are sent to sponsors. She has also served as DRI Faculty Senate Chair and Chair of the Nevada System of Higher Education's Council of Chairs.
