Angora Burn Water MonitoringThe Desert Research institute is involved in a collaborative research project with UC Davis and the U.S. Geological Survey. The group is monitoring the effects of the Angora Fire on stream runoff in the Lake Tahoe basin.

Project Highlights

  • 4 sites measuring stream flow and water quality
  • samples are analyzed for nutrients and sediment
  • collaboration between scientists has led to an excellent, successful project with good data
