DRI scientists are studying underground water distribution
Water has always been a precious commodity in our desert community. DRI’s Dr. Michael Young and other local scientists from UNR and UNLV are studying how underground water distribution in soil affects our daily lives. Young explains that soil structure has changed over time due to climate change, population boom, and through the actions of residents. Information gathered during this study will be used to educate our desert society to the ecological changes to the coming years.
