Project Description

Using LiDAR to scan the CAES campus of the Idaho National Lab, a 3d model of the building was developed. This is then used to create an immersive and publicly accessed virtual tour of the facilities. Under normal circumstances these advanced laboratories would not allow access to the public, but with a virtual tour, any person with internet access can navigate the hallways and lab's of the CAES facility and click on items or machinery of interest to learn more about what new and exciting information the Idaho National Lab is discovering.
