| Feasibility Study for an Eastern Nevada Cloud Seeding Project |
|
|
Project DescriptionIt has been generally agreed that the overall goal of the project will be to enhance snowfall over various mountain ranges in eastern Nevada using established cloud seeding technology applied to winter storms. The scope of the project will depend to a large extent on the results of the subsequent components of the feasibility study. However, this initial section will begin to identify how the project will benefit specific areas (e.g., public or private land) and activities such as farming, ranching and recreation. It is anticipated that if a successful snowfall enhancement project is developed, then stream flow and ground water supply will also be enhanced and the benefits to the area could be substantial. |
