| Mass-balance approach to quantify watershed-scale mercury fluxes in the Sierra Nevada |
|
|
Project DescriptionAt the UC Berkeley Sagehen Experimental Watershed near Truckee, CA, DRI is quantifying input fluxes (wet and dry deposition processes) and outputs (stream runoff, surface emission) to assess how and to what degree terrestrial systems act as filters for mercury. An important aspect of the research focuses on the role of alpine snowpacks on mercury cycling. Research Image GalleryClick an image to zoom. Use your arrow keys to switch between images.
