Project Description

At the UC Berkeley Sagehen Experimental Watershed near Truckee, CA, DRI is quantifying input fluxes (wet and dry deposition processes) and outputs (stream runoff, surface emission) to assess how and to what degree terrestrial systems act as filters for mercury. An important aspect of the research focuses on the role of alpine snowpacks on mercury cycling.
