Kenneth Kunkel, climatologist and executive director of the Atmospheric Sciences Division at DRI was featured on National Public Radio’s On Point with host Tom Ashbrook. The topic: Wild, weird winter, and climate change. Kunkel discussed the relationship between climate change and extreme weather events. He is lead author on two reports put out by the government’s U.S. Climate Change Program, including "Weather and Climate Extremes in a Changing Climate."

Kunkel was part of a panel with Heidi Cullen, climatologist and former research scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado. She’s now senior research scientist at Climate Central and a visiting lecturer at Princeton University. And Charles Homans, an editor at Washington Monthly and author of the recent article in the Columbia Journalism Review, "Hot Air: Why Don’t TV Weathermen Believe in Climate Change?"
