DRI's Organic Analytical Laboratory (OAL) in Reno, Nevada, provides high quality, cost effective collection and analysis of trace organic contaminants and hazardous air pollutants in ambient air. The Laboratory also performs source characterization for volatile organics and organic particulates. DRI's Organic Analytical Laboratory provides a full range of sampling, laboratory analysis, data management, and quality assurance services including custom research methods development. The Laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation and is staffed by world leaders in data collection and analysis. Operations, quality assurance, data management, and validation are integrated throughout the field measurement and analytical programs. The instrumentation provides a full range of analytical capabilites for identifying and quantifying trace organic contaminants in ambient air, including volatile organic compounds and hazardous air pollutants. The organic laboratory operations, quality assurance, data management and validation (both level 1 and univariate level 2) are integrated into an interactive process which occurs through the field measurement and analytical programs. To achieve this integration, software has been developed to automate the data processing and reporting functions. The laboratory also designs and fabricates air samplers to meet varying project needs using components time-tested for reliability, durability and cleanliness.
