Lab Description

Doug Lowenthal, Cloud Microphysics and Aerosol Chemistry LabThis laboratory is used to prepare for field experiments at DRI’s Storm Peak Laboratory and other locations around the country. The focus of our research is the effect of aerosols on cloud properties, precipitation formation, and regional haze. Cloud, snow, and aerosol samples are processed in the laboratory for chemical analysis at DRI and outside laboratories like INSTAAR at the University of Colorado.
