Benefits for Schools

Click here to download the GreenPower FlyerThe GreenPower Program provides the knowledge and resources faculty need to explain renewable energy, conservation, and sustainability in ways that are tangible to students. Students will be able to explore green concepts firsthand and teachers have the support necessary to make that happen.

GreenPower schools receive:

  • Hands-on teaching tools such as solar powered car kits and wind turbines
  • Age-appropriate books about renewable energy, conservation, and sustainability
  • Annual teacher trainings and optional customized in-school trainings
  • A GreenPower e-newsletter
  • Access to the network of GreenPower schools and their teachers
  • Professional assistance with special projects

Each GreenPower toolkit consists of $500 worth of materials and is available yearly, providing schools complete their selected GreenPower projects within the school year. These kits are given to the school free of charge and are the school's to keep. To review a list of materials, quantities, age ranges, and detailed descriptions of each item, download the appropriate kit as per school type: Elementary School GreenPower Standard Kit and Middle and High School GreenPower Standard Kit.
