Project Description

The primary goal of this proposal is to address the impact of climate and land cover change on key environmental hazards (water and wind) that are known to routinely affect the southern California Mojave Desert region, particularly as this relates to development of adaptation plans designed to minimize the impact of these hazards under both current and predicted future climate scenarios. The proposed research will focus on developing and implementing different CMIP3 GCMs downscaled products to provide more accurate regional models of climate variability and change.
