Lidar power is a measure of cloud density. White indicates more dense.

Radar returns are strongest where white, weakest where black

Lidar depolarization ratio is a measure of cirrus crystal depolarization (loosely, crystal complexity). Red (lowest), green (middle) blue (most).

NOTE: The radar image shows thick cloud near 21:20 where the lidar shows none. The lidar laser beam was strongly attenuated by the thick cloud, so no return signal came from the upper portions of the thickest cloud.
