CREDITS:
Dr. Pat Arnott
of DRI was responsible for development of the digital image
analysis system used to evaluate replicator data. He also was
wrote the DRI software used to analyzed PMS 2DC data, and has
overseen the day-to-day analysis of replicator data and the web
presentation of this data.
Mike Poellot, University of North Dakota, was copilot on
the Cessna Citation aircraft used to sample cirrus clouds. He
provided the PMS 2DC data, and frequently collaborates with us
on cirrus issues.
Dr. John Hallett of DRI was responsible for development
of the replicator used on aircraft to sample cirrus clouds. He,
along with Mike Poellot and Roger Cobb of the University of North
Dakota, ran the replicator during the FIRE 2 Project.
Rick
Purcell and Paul Lage of DRI were responsible for stepper
motor implemention vital for replicator data analysis.
The replicator analysis system software was expertly written by
Mark Turner, a previous student in the Atmospheric
Sciences Program at the University of Nevada, Reno, (UNR)
as described in his masters thesis.
Steve Nerad, then an undergraduate student at UNR, assisted
with stepper motor implementation and software development.
Ivan Gibbs, then an undergraduate student in the Physics
Department at UNR, performed a large portion of replicator data
analysis.
Jennifer Anderson performed replicator data analysis during
the summer of 1996. She is an undergrad student at the University
of Kentucky. Her father was a graduate student in the Atmospheric
Sciences Program at UNR during the 1970s and did his dissertation
under the direction of Dr. Hallett.
Rebecca Cole, a recent graduate of the biology program
at UNR, has performed a large portion of the replicator data analysis.
She also wrote the data web pages. She has clarified a number
of issues pertaining to the analysis of replicator data. 3/7/97
Rebecca is off to Costa Rica to pursue conservation biology.
TJ Ulrich, a graduate student in the Physics Dept. at UNR, has taken over for Rebecca after learning the ropes from her. TJ created the new Art Gallery as well as the new graphical representation of a spiral descent found on flight 12/05/91a.
