This interval had many large break ups. 450 crystals were
chosen during analysis. 2nd generation growth of almost all of the
crystals was present. Particle numbers for those smaller than 50 um are only estimates because the number of artifacts in the formvar and film substrate was generally in excess of the numbers of actual ice particles. The microscope objective used was a compromise between crystal image resolution and field of view. Particles larger than 300um were not counted by the replicator.
