Professional Interests
Ms. Edwards has over 14 years experience in archaeological and historical research in the Western United States. Her current research focus is on archaeological sites associated with American nuclear testing and weapons development and other Cold War programs. Other areas of interest include the historical archaeology of mining in the West and 19th/early 20th century Overseas Chinese, as well as prehistoric archaeological research topics such as the Virgin Anasazi occupation of Southern Nevada and the Arizona Strip, prehistoric trade relationships, hunter-gatherer/horticulturalist interactions and ceramic analysis. Ms. Edwards has worked in the Great Basin, Mojave Desert, and Southwest and has taught archaeological field classes and courses in American and European history.
