PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS:

Research experience and interests are focused on the managment and monitoring of groundwater resources under uncertainty, stochastic modeling of flow and transport in heterogeneous porous media, coupling laboratory and field experiments with stochastic modeling to study sorption proceeses in field, and optimal control of the water resources system. Research activity includes the development of stochstic methods to study reactive transport uncertainty in saturated/unsaturated porous media, application of geostatistical methods to study hydraulic conductivity and sorption coefficient spatial distributions, and development of new sampling network designs for subsurface environments, particularly related to groundwater contamination, and transport of reactive solutes in porous media.

RESEARCH AREAS:

Hydrology of the Unsaturated Zone; Contaminant Transport; Hydrogeological Controls on Availability and Quality of Ground Water; Integrated Watershed System
