_____ GREGG W. LAMOREY

Manager, Science Coordination Office

EDUCATION:

Ph.D., Hydrology, University of Nevada, Reno
M.S., Engineering, University of California, Davis
B.S., Geology, University of California, Davis

PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS:

Dr. Lamorey's research interests are focused on integrative modeling of hydrologic problems including integrated surface water, unsaturated and groundwater models; atmospheric models linked to dust entrainment and transport models; regional climate models and snowmelt runoff models; as well as model interfaces to provide a framework to couple disparate environmental resource models and manage temporal and spatial data. Other research interests include development and application of various instrumentation including instruments to measure the dielectric property of polar ice cores and alpine snow profiles as a proxy for density and chemistry measurements, and instruments to measure the velocity of sound in ice as an indicator of ice crystal fabric in polar ice sheets.
