DANIEL L. FREEMAN

Associate Research Meteorologist
Atmospheric Sciences Division

EDUCATION:

M.S., Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State University
B.S., Mathematics, University of Idaho

PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS:

Mr. Freeman has supported DRI programs through computer applications systems development, and has conducted other investigations in diverse areas of applied meteorology that include a study of meteorological influences on flashovers on high voltage electrical transmission lines in northern Nevada, a wind energy resource assessment for Clark County, Nevada, development of a PM10 Level I Assessment Package for the State of California, and development of methodologies for propagating uncertainties of measured data variables through EPA Air Quality Models to give error bounds to predicted ambient concentrations. In addition, Mr. Freeman has had managerial and technical responsibilities in air quality and meteorology monitoring, computer modeling, and air quality impact studies for various clients. These include souce apportionment through receptor modeling, hazardous/dense gas release modeling, and mobile source emission factor modeling.

RESEARCH AREAS:

Ambient Air and Source Sampling, Modeling and Impact Assesment, Quality Assurance
