Experience and Professional Activities

Vivian worked at JGI 1998-1999, and at UCB as a Staff Research Associate in a Functional Genomics lab, 1999-2007.

Since joining the lab, Vivian has worked on the Free-drifting iceberg, IPY Bacterioplankton Adaptations, and Lake Vida ASTEP projects.  She’s spent 4 months of her first year at DRI working on our field projects in Antarctica.  Vivian’s molecular biology skills (honed in eukaryotic genome sciences) have directly applied to preparing and sequencing clone libraries, working with prokaryotic RNA, and profiling microbial assemblages.
