Professional Interests

Mr. Bacon is a geomorphologist specializing in field investigations associated with research in Quaternary geology, geomorphology, and sequence stratigraphy related to landscape evolution in arid, semi-arid, and alpine regions, as well as paleoseismic and neotectonic investigations on normal and strike-slip faults in the western United States, New Zealand, and Mongolia. His current research focuses on characterizing desert terrains using geomorphology and soils within the southwestern United States and the World's deserts.
