Professional Interests
Mr. Burke is the staff Geographical Information Systems scientist for DRI in Las Vegas. He has 6 years of GIS experience with geographical and developer products from ESRI, image analysis and remote sensing, file format conversion, geo-referencing and digitizing, site selection, 3D terrain modeling, program and script creation. Mr. Burke has been involved with such projects as the Integrated Forecasting of Desert Terrain Conditions for Military Operations, Catalog of Analogs and Desert Terrain Characterization at U.S. Army’s Desert/Hot Weather test site, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) in southwestern Arizona, precipitation predications within the Walker-Carson River system in Nevada, Site Selection For a National Bank Chain by the Nevada Small Business Development Center, and Integrated Site Design for the Restoration of Military Lands, Ft. Irwin, CA.
