3. “Discussion and Explanation” – By going over vocabulary worksheets and other various tools, students will discuss and explore what they have learned in the kit about force and motion.
4. “Smooth or Rough” – Students will study different objects that have different surfaces to them. They will learn all about how the surfaces of something affect the way an object moves.
What to Expect: By the time teachers are done using this kit, they can expect their students to have a certain level of understanding for certain things. The kindergartners will be able to investigate and describe how objects move. The first graders will be able to do that, as well as observe and describe objects moving at different speeds. Finally, the second graders will be able to do all of that plus ask questions about the world and make observations and give descriptions using numbers, words, and drawings.
